Kitchen Decisions
The kitchen design is improved...just trying to make the final layout
decisions. (Then there are all the surface decisions, but that's
another set of obsessions!)
Feedback?
The drawing wasn't redone to reflect the change in size of
the cooktop so it's not to scale anymore.
Questions
Here is the list of "Is this a good idea?" questions:
1)
Make the peninsula cabinets on either side of the
wastebasket 21” and 18” instead of 24” and 15”
2)
Make the ‘B15R’ cabinet into a 4-drawer base for utensils
and a bread drawer
3)
Make the ‘FH9R’ have a full-depth shelf so I can store two
“layers” of trays
4)
Make the ‘DB18-3’ to the left of the range into a FH
cabinet for trays. There’s a 9” cabinet next to the dishwasher, but I
have 18” now (with a drawer) and it is full.
5)
Make the 3 drawer unit under the cook top into 2 drawers
6)
Instead of having a B27 with slideouts to the right of the
range, have that be a DB27-3 (for the too many pots, pans and lids that
I have)

Corner Pantry Scheme
Someone else came up with
this one: extend the countertop into the corner pantry and use that as
an appliance garage. The electrical outlets can be out of sight in
the pantry and the appliances can still be slid and out and out be
easily accessible.
