Dirt is being compacted!

Now that the foundation walls are up, some more grading has been done to push the dirt up to the foundation walls.  The framing crew need something to stand on!

Looking across the house (to the north), the ground has been really leveled out. This gravel area is where the front door will go. The back yard area is deeper than it looked when there were still piles of dirt here.  I'm standing about where the air conditioner (and my cutting garden) will go.

Looking from the back of the house towards the front. This is the (original) location of the temporary electric meter. The drainage area is no longer the lowest point in the culvert.

Looking across the neighbor's property towards the house. Once the house is done, we'll have to look at how to best landscape.

Jordan wanted a picture of the water in the basement, so he climbed down to take this. And then handed me the camera so I could take one of him at the bottom. And then climbed out the ladder that was conveniently left for him.
