Trusses are going up

We were lucky enough to stop by the house shortly before the boom truck got there so we got to see them putting up the first roof trusses.

Here, everything is still on the ground, about when they discovered the crane could come this afternoon. The trusses were delivered assembled, and then they nailed four together. They had to clear the gravel driveway to make a place for the truck to park.

Then they manhandled the trusses to the driveway... ...to set them all up for the crane. The boom was extended over 60 feet.

They lifted the truss up over the garage area. And then lowered it over the house. Here the guys are nailing it into place.

In other areas....

Stan is standing in the entry of his new garage. The access door is currently about a half-door. Weeks ago, I saw the bolts out of the foundation—and now the house frame is bolted to it.
